Mayor Craig A. Moe and Klingbeil Capital Management, LTD. are
pleased to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for C Street Flats,
located on the site of the former City of Laurel Police Department,
known as 350 Municipal Square.
C
Street Flats is part of the City’s continuing Overlay redevelopment
program, and will consist of over 130 modern apartment homes that will
include a fitness center, pool, commercial and community space. The
project is located at the center of the City’s Arts and Entertainment
district. Zoning will also permit the community’s artists to use their
units for their residences, studio space, as well as galleries for the
display of their work. The project will also feature a parklet on C
Street for the public to relax and enjoy. A sculpture contest will be
held with the winner’s work being permanently placed in the parklet area
on the C Street side of the complex.
Klingbeil

California, has been active in the Washington D.C. Metro real-estate
Industry for over forty (40) years and continues its investment in the
City of Laurel, having previously converted a rental apartment complex
on Main Street into The Oaks Condominium. Its most recent project is
the acquisition of the Emerson apartment complex, located at Cherry Lane
and Fourth Street, adjacent to the new Towne Centre at Laurel complex,
now under construction.
Mayor Moe will officiate at the groundbreaking, accompanied by Klingbeil officials. The ceremony is slated to begin at 3:00 pm on August 22nd on the grounds of the project, with light refreshments being served.
