Avery, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Consultant for NSAI &
Associates, possesses 30 years of extensive Government and Military
experience in continuity, physical security, emergency management, and
risk program management planning. He has been responsible for leading
several significant continuity and security programs within the Federal
Government and Defense entities. He wrote, provided training for and
tested continuity plans for the Departments of Labor, Treasury and
Agriculture. Mr. Avery has received numerous awards for his work and
service. He has taught as an adjunct professor at the Army's War College
and the Defense Intelligence College while regularly formulating unique
solutions to solve complex continuity challenges.
IV. Event: Mr.
Avery will speak on the importance of creating and maintaining a viable
Business Continuity plan and the need to be ready to deal with any type
of man-made or natural disasters that would have a negative effect on
your small business operations and your bottom-line profits. He will
provide an overview of what a practicable business continuity plan looks
like and how to design a plan based on your needs. He will demystify
continuity planning and help you understand the relationship between
organizations, customers and the need to be prepared to handle disasters
small and large. He will conduct a deep discussion on where technology,
acquisition and services are trending within the emergency management
marketplace. Finally, he will close out the brief with actionable
direction and answer any questions.
