Patuxent Wildlife Festival
Celebrate 75 Years of Wildlife Conservation Research Saturday, October 15 – 10 am to 3 pm - National Wildlife Visitor Center
Enjoy live animals, kids’ crafts, tram tours ($), scientific demonstrations, and behind-the-scenes research tours of the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. See where endangered Whooping Cranes and Sea Ducks are raised and studied. Enjoy the music of Magpie! environmental performers. Wildlife Conservation Film Festival
November 4-6 - National Wildlife Visitor Center Two hour screenings throughout the weekend of short and feature natural history and wildlife documentary films. Each screening will include 3-6 films. Some directors and producers available for Q&As. Cost per series: $8 for adults; $6 for students, seniors and military. Group discounts available.
