TWENTY-SEVEN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY COMPANIES AMONG THE NATION’S FASTEST GROWING

Anne Arundel County is home to 27 firms that were recently recognized as among the fastest growing companies in America. The Inc. Magazine 500/5000 List (www.inc.com/inc5000) included 24 while the Deloitte 2011 Technology Fast 500 (www.fast500.com) included 3 Anne Arundel County companies.

“These 27 companies have shown exceptional growth over the past five years and continue to thrive,” said Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold. “To achieve this kind of success is remarkable, especially during these challenging economic times.”

Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) is in the process of meeting with each winner to deliver a Certificate of Congratulations signed by County Executive Leopold and AAEDC President and CEO Robert Hannon. The meeting will also be an opportunity to offer business services such as workforce training, real estate and permitting assistance for expansion, and business financing. “Anne Arundel County, home to BWI Thurgood Marshall International Airport, Fort Meade, and a burgeoning defense industry, offers a great location for business growth,” said Hannon. “These fast growing companies contribute to the strength of the county’s economy and help us attract other successful companies.”
