MD Business Activity Picks Up Sharply in MarchThe Federal Reserve Richmond, Maryland Survey of Business Activity, reported a sizable increase in Maryland hiring and business expansion in March. The general business activity index jumped to 26 from 8—the highest reading since April 2011 and the second highest reading in the history of the survey.
