The theme for this year’s procurement fair is “Conquer Your Government Procurement
Opportunities”. The program allows attendees to meet scores of procurement
representatives from federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as
a number of prime contractors and sponsors - all in one place, all in one
morning; and all in respect to busy schedules and the value of time!

| Government Procurement Fair: Matchmaking Session |
Two break-out
sessions will be offered at 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., consecutively. The first
presentation will be by Kent Menser, Executive Director of Base Business
Initiative located in Howard County. The second, a panel discussion regarding
cyber opportunities for businesses will be led by Congressman Dutch
Ruppersberger and will feature cyber experts from several government agencies
in the corridor.
The
Base Business Initiative will also handle the Matchmaking Sessions, which are
by appointment only at 20-minute intervals from 8:30 a.m. until noon, featuring
volunteer counselors from the participating government agencies. Representatives
will be available to counsel those interested in going into government
contracting, as well as those who are already actively involved in government
contracting with any issues they may have encountered.
BWCC, the only regional chamber in Maryland, takes pride in offering this great event for the 21st year – the longest such program hosted by a chamber in the mid-Atlantic region. We are committed to helping businesses learn about the government contracting arena and providing opportunities to make valuable connections.
