Students still have time to apply for the
Engineering Scholars Program scholarship for the fall 2013 semester at
Anne Arundel Community College before the deadline at 5 p.m. on Friday,
March 15.
The
Engineering Scholars Program scholarship provides up to $4,000 per year
for tuition, mentoring opportunities, funds for students to attend
professional conferences, organized study groups and scheduled
opportunities for students to interact with industry professionals on a
regular basis.
Eligible
AACC students or high school graduates must major in engineering or
engineering technology, have a GPA of 2.75 or above, and be eligible for
financial aid as verified through the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The program targets underrepresented groups
in Engineering (women, African Americans, Hispanics, and Native
Americans), but the scholarships are open to all students.
The
application process includes the application form, a 400-word essay and a
