GSA reports strong interest in new FBI headquarters

Developers may soon get the chance to compete to build a new headquarters for the FBI after an informal solicitation yielded roughly 35 responses from groups interested in the prospect.

The General Services Administration said Wednesday that "There is significant interest from the private sector to assist in developing a new, consolidated facility in the National Capital Region." The GSA issued a request for information back in December to test the waters, and the deadline passed March 4.
