Maryland ranks first in U.S. for entrepreneurship, innovation

Maryland ranks first in the country for entrepreneurship and innovation, according to a new report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The report, issued on the chamber’s FreeEnterprise.com website, also praises Maryland’s economic performance (ninth) and talent pipeline (third).

But the state ranks poorly for business climate (43rd) and exports (42nd), while falling in the middle of pack for infrastructure (26th).

Each of the reports rankings include several sub-categories.
