LAUREL- (August 26, 2013): And the Videographer Awards go to... the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).
In the 17th Annual Videographer Awards,
an international competition that judges writing, producing, shooting
and editing, WSSC has earned four awards, including the highest honor,
the Award of Excellence.
The Commission received the Award of Excellence for the Anacostia 102-inch Sewer Condition Assessment
video, which features the story of WSSC’s largest and most
comprehensive sewer inspection done by a robot that floated through the
pipe collecting a slew of data.
Awards of Distinction were earned for a video featuring a fire hydrant locator app and another highlighting WSSC’s Watershed. The Commission also earned an Honorable Mention for a video about water main replacement.
“We
are very proud of our team and these awards are a terrific

remind our customers that all of the videos we produce are great tools for them to learn more about WSSC and how to take advantage of the many services we have to offer.”
