The BWCC Meets With Prince George’s County’s Supplier Diversity and Development Division

Chamber President Walt Townshend and BWCC Board Member Cathy Martin, CPM (r), Chief Procurement Officer for WSSC, recently visited with Roland Jones (l), Executive Director of Prince George’s County’s Supplier Diversity and Development Division (SDDD), and the Deputy Executive Director, Sharon Moore Jackson, in their offices at the Office of Central Services in Largo, MD.

The Chamber’s outreach was to gain a better understanding of SDDD and its key objectives. Jones and  Jackson advised that their office has five key elements:  Certification ; Management of CB-17 and its requirements; Education and Training; Outreach; and, Advocacy.

The SDDD will be participating in the BWCC GovCon’s 21^st Annual Procurement Fair, to be held at Martin’s Crosswinds on November 20^th.   Registration is now open for this event.  The BWCC encourages all members to visit the economic development offices of their resident counties.  Please call us if we can assist you in making those introductions.
