LAUREL—September 6, 2013: The
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) will conduct two public
hearings on its proposed Fiscal Years 2015 – 2020 Capital Improvements
Program (CIP). The six –year CIP proposes planning, design and
construction expenditures for major water and sewer projects. The first
will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Rockville and the second on Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Largo.
The
CIP continues WSSC’s aggressive program to rehabilitate or replace the
older portions of the Commission’s 5,600 miles of water mains and 5,400
miles of sewer mains; and, finances capital facilities needed to
accommodate growth within the WSSC service area.
