MD Lt. Governor Brown to keynote AAWDC/DLLR/Allagash veterans conference in November

On November 21st, AAWDC in partnership with DLLR and the Allagash Group, LLC will be hosting the Operation Pledge to Veterans Conference at the Hilton BWI Airport hotel in Linthicum, MD.  We are pleased to announce that Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony G. Brown will give the day’s keynote address, with Maryland DLLR Secretary Leonard J. Howie III providing opening remarks.

The goal of the conference is to support businesses in hiring veterans and expand their “military-friendly” employment brand. Attached is the official promotional flyer.  We ask that you please post at your chamber office, share with your members through electronic distribution, and promote at upcoming chamber events.

Please invite your chamber members to join with other local companies to learn about the business benefits of hiring and retaining Veterans and gain strategies and resources for making the match. During this conference, participants will also learn how to find top Veteran talent, as well as receive resources for becoming a “military-friendly” company.

The registration website launched this week and registration is now open www.operationvetpledge.com.  Please feel free to add a link to the webpage on your chamber website and strongly encourage your members to attend.

We are days from delivering an incredible veteran hiring and retention event for companies.  REGISTER TODAY!
