Upper Marlboro, MD: The Prince George’s
County Office of Community Relations is celebrating the first
anniversary of its 3-1-1 Call Center and CountyClick during National
Customer Service Week. CountyClick 3-1-1 is an initiative of County
Executive Rushern L. Baker, III to better connect County government to
residents through a call center and online service request system.
“Since
opening a year ago, CountyClick 3-1-1 has quickly grown to be an
essential resource for our residents and testament to better service
from the Prince George’s County government to our residents,” said
County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. “CountyClick 3-1-1 has handled
nearly 200,000 calls from residents who made service requests or had
questions or concerns. I urge more residents to utilize CountyClick
3-1-1 and to make sure their friends, family, and neighbors in the
County are aware of this wonderful service.”
Since its
opening on October 1, 2012, the call center has handled nearly 200,000
calls and more than 136,000 service requests have been made online.
Residents have experienced very good answer times and the call center
enjoys an average service level rate of 94% compared to the industry
average which is 80%.
“Our team
is committed to providing quality service and information to callers.
After one year of operation, we are pleased with our progress and
service approach. We’ve made government more accessible for citizens
and that was one of our goals,” said Musa L. Eubanks, Director of the
Office of Community Relations. “This open house is one way to increase
awareness about the call center and promote this wonderful resource to
residents.”
This year’s Customer Service Week observance will take place from October 7 - 11.
The week is nationally recognized and is designed to promote the
importance of customer service and the people who provide it for
governments, businesses and other organizations. In 1992, the U.S.
Congress proclaimed Customer Service Week to be celebrated annually
during the first full week in October.
