Stormwater debate triggers flood of proposals as Maryland General Assembly session grows closer


Think the “rain tax” debate has dried up?


Think again.

At least five proposals to change a state mandate on stormwater fees are expected to be up for debate when the General Assembly convenes next month.

State law now requires the 10 largest jurisdictions, including Anne Arundel County, to assess the fees critics have labeled “the rain tax.”
