3 takeaways from the Greater Washington economic forecast

The title of Steve Fuller’s presentation on the D.C. economy Thursday was titled: “The Post-Federally Dependent Washington Area Economy.”

Which pretty much says it all.

Fuller, a professor at George Mason University and expert on the Greater Washington economy, pointed to the crowd of 600 business people at the McLean Hilton and told them they won’t be able to rely on the federal government to buoy the region’s economy.
