WSSC Makes Splash with Free Mobile App

Use Smartphone to Pay Bill/ Report Problem/ See Alerts

“WSSC Mobile” is now available for download.Convenience for our customers, that's what WSSC's new free mobile app is all about.

Developed for iPhone, Android and Blackberry users, no matter where you are or what time it is, you're just seconds away from paying your water and sewer bill, checking on service alerts, reporting a problem or simply emailing us with a question.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) becomes one of the first known water utilities in the world to launch a mobile application that allows customers to connect and interact in so many ways. It’s convenient and provides customers with important information and the opportunity to help us. WSSC’s free mobile app lets you:
  • Save time by using your smartphone to pay your water and sewer bill; all it takes is an account number, last name and zip code.
  • Check for any service issues in your area.
  • Read the latest news from WSSC.
  • Check job postings
  • Even report a broken water main break directly to our customer service team with a few taps on the phone. No phone call, no waiting on hold. The app uses the phone’s GPS to transmit the location. Quicker notification means quicker repair.
General Manager/CEO Jerry N. Johnson says “Our new mobile app is about using the latest technology to make life easier for our customer and to interact with WSSC. This is modern. This is innovative and this is convenient.”

Chief Information Officer Mujib Lodhi adds: “This is only the beginning. Expect WSSC to continue moving forward with technology that improves our efficiency and offers better service to our customers. Additional enhancements and features are already anticipated for the mobile app in the near future.

WSSC Mobile can be downloaded for free at the app stores associated with the respective mobile devices.
