The Cyber Tech Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of development, implementation and dissemination of the Cyber Technician curriculum developed by AACC as part of the U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant program. The Cyber Tech Coordinator will work collaboratively with AACC faculty and staff as well as industry and higher education partners and participating colleges to identify resources and implement a strategic cyber technician certificate program geared to create a new pipeline of workers for cyber positions. The Cyber Tech Coordinator will seek innovative ways to capitalize on workforce trends and ensure the curriculum addresses the needs and priorities of industry.
This is a grant funded, contractual with benefits position. The grant funding this position shall expire on September 30, 2014. Continuation beyond the contract period is contingent upon need and funding.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of three years experience working in higher education, training, organizational development and/or a business environment
Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of business clients required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to function as an effective team member.
Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively and tactfully with a diverse student population, clients, vendors, faculty, staff and the public.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within Anne Arundel County to accommodate the needs of the college.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in organizational development, human resources development, business management, cybersecurity, computer science, computer technologies, computer information systems, or closely related field preferred.
Experience managing continuing education and/or programs in a higher education environment preferred.
Knowledge of and ability to use Sharepoint and other collaborative software preferred.
