Business Development Coordinator (Contractual with Benefits) – ANNE ARUNDEL COMMUNITY COLLEGE

 

The business development coordinator will generate new contract revenue for the College by selling cybersecurity training that meets the needs of commercial and public sector employers globally. The business development coordinator consultant will seek opportunities to consult with public and private sector organizations to acquire new customer business activity for the College. He/she will work cooperatively with College staff and external partners to develop competitively priced training and business services that meet the College's financial goals through efficient management of institutional resources. The business development coordinator will function as an external representative for the CyberCenter and will promote the CyberCenter and the College as a deliverer of high-quality training solutions and services.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, organizational development or closely related field required.
• A minimum of three years experience selling and marketing intangibles or other related activities.  
• Demonstrated experience in consultative selling techniques, contract negotiations and external partner relations required.
• Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service required.
• Demonstrated ability to function as an effective team member required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; strong skills in Microsoft Word required.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision with attention to details and deadlines required.
• Ability to work effectively and tactfully with a diverse student population, clients, vendors, faculty, staff and the public required.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational development sales preferred.
• Demonstrated track record in generating annual revenue in excess of $500,000 preferred.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and related topics a plus.
