WSSC Hosts How to Do Business Session

Information on Upcoming Opportunities and Prevailing Wage Compliance

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) will hold the seventh in a series of supplier outreach sessions focused on fostering strong ties with the supplier community at its Laurel headquarters on Friday, September 27, 2013. “How to Do Business with WSSC” brings together potential suppliers with the WSSC Procurement Office to showcase upcoming contracting opportunities at WSSC. WSSC officials will also explain how the water/wastewater utility will comply with the Prevailing Wage Statute which becomes effective October 1.

In the past, local contractors have joined businesses from as far away as Alaska to learn more about WSSC contracting areas, including architectural-engineering and construction services, facilities & maintenance services and supplies, fleet management services and supplies, information technology equipment and software services, and other technical, financial and professional services.

Attendees will hear about upcoming contracts and can market their companies’ abilities directly to WSSC decision makers. This outreach event is intended to promote economic growth, build capacity among WSSC’s local supplier community and provide relationship building opportunities for WSSC and its suppliers.
