UM BALTIMORE WASHINGTON MEDICAL CENTER HOSTS BLOOD DRIVE

GLEN BURNIE, MD – UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 301 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie in the Dr. Constantine Padussis Conference Center, located on the third floor of the medical center. First-time donors should bring their driver’s license or two other forms of identification with them, as well as a list of any medications they are currently taking. Those who have donated before should bring their donor card. After checking in, each donor will receive a mini-physical, which consists of answering questions during a confidential interview, as well as having their temperature, hemoglobin level, blood pressure and pulse checked. Following the donation process, donors can spend a few minutes enjoying refreshments.

Questions regarding donor eligibility should be directed to the American Red Cross at 1-866-236-3276. To schedule an appointment to make this life-saving donation, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center’s Marketing and Communications Department at 410-787-4367.
