MGM's National Harbor proposal could net up to $575M for Maryland

The MGM Resorts International proposal stands to generate the most gaming revenue for Maryland out of the three firms vying to build a Prince George’s County casino, two consultants hired by the gaming location commission said Friday.

Will Cummings of Harrisburg, Pa.-based Cummings Associates concluded that MGM National Harbor would net — after taking into account the revenue damage done to competing Maryland casinos — $575 million for the state. Parx Casino Hotel & Spa from Greenwood Racing Inc. would net $535 million and Hollywood Casino at Rosecroft from Penn National Gaming Inc. $460.5 million.

Jim Oberkirsch of Custom Gaming Consulting, based in Littleton, Colo., determined a net from MGM of $512 million. Parx would net $431 million and Penn National $371.8 million.
