AACC Partners With Winvale for Expanded Distribution through GSA Schedule
Firm grows its portfolio with innovative cybersecurity training for government organizations
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 5, 2013 – Winvale, a premier government solutions provider in the United States, today announced it has extended its distribution
agreement with the CyberCenter at Anne Arundel Community College
(AACC), a recognized leader in cybersecurity education and training, for
sales in government markets through Winvale's General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.
By
partnering with Winvale, AACC’s cybersecurity training resources are
available to customers in the public sector through the GSA schedule
procurement process. Winvale channel partners can leverage the contract to sell products to government customers even if they do not hold a GSA contract of their own. This agreement opens up additional markets for the company while also providing the CyberCenter with the opportunity to fulfill government orders they may not otherwise have qualified to provide.
“For more than 10 years, we've offered proven solutions to the public sector in many areas, including training, and we feel that training solutions
like those provided by AACC’s CyberCenter that help organizations build
and maintain their cybersecurity workforce are ideal additions
to the GSA schedule,” said Kevin Lancaster, Winvale managing partner.
“Protecting data and the ability to react appropriately when compromises
do occur is so mission-critical for public sector organizations, it is
important that they have a cost-effective way to build and maintain a
workforce with the right kind of knowledge, skills and abilities. AACC’s
CyberCenter training is just the kind of solution that our government customers require.”
“AACC’s
CyberCenter addresses a wide range of training needs, including
baseline Cybersecurity Awareness, Network+ Preparation, Security+
Preparation, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preparation,
Certified Ethical Hacking Preparation, Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP) Preparation and Cyber Forensics training.
Our training not only helps employees prepare for industry
certifications where applicable, but also helps them build the
knowledge, skills and abilities to do the job when they get back to the
workplace. Companies in the public sector in
particular need a solution to help build technical capacity in these
areas,” said Kip Kunsman, director of AACC’s CyberCenter. “Our solution
is very complementary to the training solutions already offered through Winvale. This partnership expands our distribution channel and provides AACC with the opportunity to implement cybersecurity
training solutions that are required to build a well-trained,
highly-skilled cybersecurity workforce through the GSA.”
Understanding
that a one-size-fits-all approach to training does not work for
government customers, the CyberCenter offers a variety of options,
including exclusive contract sections that can be purchased for a
government organization and its affiliates. Exclusive contract sections
also allow flexible scheduling where courses can be delivered outside of
the traditional semester format and accelerated where possible.
Organizations also may select from various learning formats, including
face-to-face, online or a combination of both, all with instructor-led,
hands-on or self-directed labs.
Another
benefit that government customers can expect from AACC is location
choice for instructor-led training. AACC’s cybersecurity training can be
delivered at one of AACC’s locations, the customer’s site or at a
mutually agreed upon location if the appropriate technology is
available. AACC’s training locations include a state-of-the-art training
facility just miles from Fort George G. Meade that includes 13
specialized labs equipped to deliver technology training, network
management, network security, Cisco networking, network penetration and
defense and cyber forensics, as well as other types of cybersecurity
training. The training facility also includes an on-site testing center
at which participants can sit for related industry certification exams.
The CyberCenter’s training courses are available through the CyberCenter Vendor Store on the Winvale website at http://www.winvale.com/for_ government/technology_ manufacturers/anne_arundel_ community_college_cybercenter/
